I have been a resident of Northside ISD since Pre-K. At age 4, I started school as an English as a Second -Language (ESL) student and attended several schools in the district due to my parents moving to find us the best education in the district. The schools I attended gave me the confidence and education needed to succeed past my senior year of high school and thus, I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for my BBA in International Marketing with minors in Finance and German. After earning my bachelor's at UTSA, I attended Texas A&M University-San Antonio to receive my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Project and Construction Management.
Currently, I serve as the Senior Housing Policy Coordinator for The City of San Antonio's Neighborhood and Housing Services Department. This position allows me to coordinate all the various policy efforts between agencies, departments, and City Hall affecting the needs of the constituents of this rapidly growing city. I am passionate about helping the residents of this city prosper.
I am also passionate about my family. I am a Northside ISD parent and I strive to provide the best for my daughters. When I say I want the residents of San Antonio to prosper, that is especially true for the children.
I am running for Northside ISD Board of Trustees because I am going to ensure our next generation's success. We need to increase dialogue between parents and the district. This pandemic has shown how crucial it is to close the gap of the digital divide for students and make sure there are plenty of opportunities for dialogue between parents and the district. As your next Northside ISD Board of Trustee member, I will be the fresh new face ready to listen to the community.
